Where to check for answers about international checks?

Verifile offers a variety of background screening checks in various countries.

We understand the importance of being able to make fully informed decisions about the candidate you want to hire and remaining compliant with all relevant employment procedures, standards, and regulations.  

Where to look for further information on the results for an international check:

If you have received a traffic light for an international check for the candidate (Green, Amber, Red). You can find additional comments on the final report of the findings, which you can also view when reviewing the orders on the client portal.

To review orders for updates, the steps are:

1. Log in to the Verifile Client Portal;
2. Click on ‘Review Orders’ on the toolbar;
3. Locate your candidate by searching via name or VF number—Select All and Search;
4. Then click on the ‘Order number’, e.g., VF12345;
5. You will then be able to see any whole order notes on this front page;
6. To view individual check notes, select the 'Check Type', e.g., Employment History (UK) to see any check notes on each specific page.

For some international checks, a separate report can be found attached to the candidate's order and this can be downloaded and viewed on the client portal under 'attachments'.

If you have a query about the turnaround time or what is required to run the international check, you can either check our website or check the instructions that we send out which will give a brief description of the check and the average turnaround time.

1. Verifile - https://www.verifile.co.uk/united-kingdom.

2. In the 'Show Services in' field, select the relevant country, e.g., - United States (USA), United Kingdom. You will now see a list of checks Verifile offers for that country.

3. To narrow down this list further, select the type of check you are interested in from the 'Show' drop-down field, e.g., Criminal Record Checks, Credit and Financial Checks, Fraud Checks. 

We have listed the estimated turnaround times here, and clicking on a particular service will provide you with some further detail about that check.
